Events - Terms and Conditions

Please read the Terms and Conditions carefully before you book. Please note that by making a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms.


YOUR BOOKING

The person making the booking must possess the legal capacity and authority to enter into a binding contract. You enter the contract on behalf of your organisation (which is the contracting party) and you accept that you have procured that the relevant terms are complied with by your delegates attending the event.

All booking requests are subject to acceptance by us. We will email confirmation of your booking, if any of the details are not correct, please tell us immediately. This confirmation email will also contain a copy or link to our full terms and conditions, by virtue of your booking, you are deemed to accept.


PRICES AND PAYMENT

The prices of courses/events/online training sessions are as advertised on our website, online booking form or our email invitations. These prices exclude VAT.

Prices may change without prior notice, but changes will not affect bookings which have already been made. Payment in full is required prior to the event.

Where we offer a cost for a full programme for our online training sessions, unless otherwise stated, this is per person.

There may be times when we offer a full programme for the whole academic year at a one-off cost, where stated, this is for any member of staff from that individual school or college only, to attend any number of sessions.

Where the cost is for a single session, then this is per person/per session.


CANCELLATION POLICY

If it is necessary to cancel a course/event/online training session due to unforeseen circumstances, we will offer a suitable alternative or provide a refund of the event fee if this is not possible. Refunds will not be made for any travel arrangements already made.

If you wish to cancel your booking please notify us by email as soon as possible.

The full cost of the booking is payable if you do not cancel your booking and do not attend the course/event/online training session.

Where we offer a cost for a full programme for our online training sessions, there is no refund available should you not attend any of the sessions within that programme.

To cover the cost of processing your cancellation and to compensate us for the risk that we may not be able to resell your place, we make a cancellation charge on the scale shown below. Please note – no refunds (including travel) will be given if you are unable to attend due to circumstances beyond our control (see below).

We regret that any expenses incurred other than the course/event/online training session fee, cannot be reimbursed.

Important note – events beyond our control

We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performing of, any of our obligations, due to events outside of our control (‘Force Majeure Event’)

Events beyond our control include: civil disturbances, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, epidemics, health risks – epidemic, pandemic, technical problems with transport –impossibility of the use of railways or other means of public transport, your or family illnesses, bereavements, actual or potential weather conditions and any other similar events, non-happening due to the inability of any presenter to deliver the workshop due to illness or injury in circumstances in which he/she cannot be replaced.

Our performance under any contract is deemed to be suspended for the period that the Force Majeure event continues. We will use our reasonable endeavours to find a solution by which our obligation under the contract may be performed despite the Force Majeure event. This means we will postpone the course to another date if this is possible and offer you a place at the postponed course.

Please note, the venues are subject to change. On the rare occasion where a venue change is necessary, Learning Plus UK Data Ltd., will do everything it can to provide a venue within the same area. Please read your joining instructions carefully to see the final and correct venue directions.

Please note that Learning Plus UK Data Ltd., accept no liability for any accidents or losses that occur at the venues used.


TRANSFERRING EVENTS

You may transfer from one course/event/online training session to another by requesting such a transfer by email at least 14 days prior to the original course/event/online training session taking place.

Transfers can take place at any time up to 14 days prior to the original course/event/online training session taking place, we do not charge for transfers.

Once a transfer has been made to another event or date, regardless of the date, this then makes the booking non-cancellable and non-refundable.


CHANGES TO CONTENT

We hope that we will not have to make any changes to your course/event/online training session but, because they are planned months in advance, we sometimes do need to make changes and amendments. We reserve the right to amend content and/or speakers at any time.

If you have already booked, we will let you know as soon as we can. If you want to change any details of your booking we will do our best to help but would normally be unable to change the booking within 14 days of the date of event. If you transfer your booking to another person they must comply with all the terms of the existing booking.


MARKETING AND PR

We will often take photographs and film at our events, if you wish to be excluded from this then please let us know.


DATA PROTECTION

We will not pass on your personal details to any third party. Any personal information you provide to us will only be used by us unless you have advised otherwise.

We will hold your personal information on our system to keep you informed of our events and to keep you up to date with what we're up to. You can ask us to remove your details at any time by sending us an email asking to unsubscribe to office@learningplusuk.org


COMPLAINTS

If you have a complaint whilst attending a course/event/online training session, please notify our representative at the course/event/online training session who will endeavour to assist you and use his/her reasonable efforts to resolve the problem immediately. If you are still not satisfied, or there is any other aspect you are not happy with, you must write to us at the address given in your correspondence. Please include your daytime telephone number.

Please submit any complaint within 14 days of the course/event/online training session and allow sufficient time for us to investigate this before responding.
