Learning Plus UK is a national education charity.
We can provide independent advice and bespoke analyses and assistance at national, regional, local and provider level. We are friendly and flexible in approach and aim to assist in professional endeavour. We can help you to understand where you currently sit against national benchmarks and look at strategies which can take you to where you aspire to be. We have a track record of working in the field of the 14-19 Agenda which has given us expertise in helping to identify best practice and we work alongside you to adapt and adopt it creatively to your individual context.
We can provide services that organisations do not have time to do for themselves and also have the resources to reach out regionally and nationally for solutions.
We have developed practical student tracking and target setting tools. We have also undertaken school and college reviews and have organised and hosted many conferences, networks, professional development sessions and given bespoke presentations and training to appropriate groups (e.g. whole staff training, 14-19 groups etc).
We have also undertaken action research projects and produced a series of case studies covering issues affecting providers in the 14-19 arena.
Learning Plus UK began as the "Value Added Project" under Berkshire Learning and Skills Council (LSC) in 2002, providing value added reports and ensuring they were understood, initially with a planned project life of two years. However, other services grew over the following year in response to expressed needs among providers and Local Authorities (LAs) and the project continued. It was extended to the London South LSC area in 2004 and London wide a year later.
We incorporated as a company in 2006, registered as a charity in 2007 and started trading as Learning Plus UK on 1 April 2007. We now work across the nine government offices in England, providing every LA with an extensive data pack (LPUK Datadashboard©).
