Level 2 Project
This project analyses students achievements at Level 2 including those who did not achieve their expected grade or withdrew. Their performance is judged against expected learner grades based on past Learning Plus UK Level 2 data. The analysis is broken down into three main categories: all courses, vocational courses and GCSE re-sits.
A report can be produced for each institution containing:
- overview information covering all Level 2 qualifications
- subject analysis and comparisons including gender and ethnicity breakdowns
- an additional overview report allowing you to compare your provision against other providers
It also includes use of the Level 2 Tracking Tool (see below). Qualifications that are covered include BTEC Firsts, OCR Nationals (Level 2) and GCSE Mathematics and English re-sit qualifications.
The Level 2 Project is available free of charge to all members of the Berkshire and London Plus Projects.

Level 2 & 3 Tracking
Learning Plus UK have developed a Level 2 and 3 tracking tool for the Berkshire Plus and London Plus projects.
The software allows you to track and monitor the performance of students aged 16-19 taking Level 2 and 3 qualifications, including A2 and AS levels, GCSEMaths and English re-sits, BTEC First Diploma qualifications, OCR Nationals and the Certificate in Childcare Education (CCE).
Data for each student is entered and an average GCSE score is produced which is used to generate a minimum target grade. The target grade can be set at different levels to allow for aspirational target setting (e.g. at 50th, 60th, 70th, 80th, 90th percentile).
Early intervention can be put in place to support students to achieve their target grades.
The software takes into account students who have achieved their qualifications and those who did not succeed or withdrew from courses.
